Lorie MacDonald
Lorie MacDonald exemplifies ‘hands-on’ and passionate caring. After graduating from St. Louis University in 1985, she launched her Physical Therapy career at the famed Kessler Rehab Institute in West Orange, New Jersey. When she moved back home to Cincinnati, she continued her practice of attracting therapists with strong patient-centered values to work with her in a variety of settings. Her ability to manage as well as to serve earned her several executive promotions within Theratx/Vencor, a Fortune 500 Company.
In 1999, she started her own company with a small group of trusted and experienced therapists. That company became Ultimate Rehab, Ltd. in 2002 and continues to provide clinically effective adult rehabilitation to patients in both skilled nursing facilities and at home. Lorie is especially adept at assisting nursing home owners to remain competitive in a complex and ever-changing environment. Hiring and training therapists who deliver the highest possible outcomes for patients, she can take pride in Ultimate Rehab, Ltd’s high staff retention figures, strong relationships with client facilities, and the high regard of patients and their families as she continues to oversee Ultimate Rehab’s growth.
Married for over 36 years to Tom MacDonald, Lorie and Tom have three sons, one, Brian, who has his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Lorie is active in the community, in her family's activities, and she and her family are avid sports fans. They enjoy skiing together, and love to travel.
