Lorie Ballaban MacDonald, has a degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University. She has 25 years experience in rehabilitation services. Lorie has been involved in various roles from Clinical Coordinator to Regional Vice President. She has practiced and/or managed in a Free Standing Rehabilitation Hospital, a Teaching University Hospital/Acute Rehab Department, a Subacute Rehabilitation Company and a Fortune 500 Ancillary Service Corporation.
Over the last 10 years, she has developed and grown Ultimate Rehab, Ltd. from a tiny office with four employees to a team of over 200 full-time and support professionals. She and her management staff have developed proven clinical protocols, smooth systems, and a financial management process that complies with the demands of myriad payer sources.
In today’s changing health care environment, it is necessary to provide patients in skilled nursing facilities with clinically effective treatment while assisting nursing home owners to remain competitive in a complex managed care/ PPS environment. Hiring and training therapists who deliver the highest possible outcomes for patients, Lorie takes pride in her high staff retention figures, her strong relationships with client facilities, and the high regard of patients and their families.
